Back in 2017, Salomon launched a unique concept: the S/lab ME:sh

Using Emersya’s Interactive 3D technology, Salomon empowered runners to compose the perfect shoe for their practice & preferences and to discover their custom composition online – in real-time Interactive 3D.

Every part of the shoe’s exterior could be customized. The customer clicked on the different parts of the 3D model to preview and explore all the available colors. They could add a personal touch with custom text and see it applied to the 3D model in real-time.

The 3D product experience included an exploded view of the runner’s custom shoe design, enabling them to visualize each material layer and the innovative product technology inside the sole of the shoe.

The Interactive 3D preview provides runners with the freedom to explore their design from every angle and to zoom in on the material details before confirming their custom order.

Once customers had placed an order for their custom shoe design online, they were invited to the Salomon flagship store. Here, Salomon offered state-of-the-art 3D scanning technology to get the runner’s exact foot measurements in order to finalize the made-to-order process and ensure the perfect fit.
